The Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor) was founded in accordance with the RF Presidential Decree # 314 of 09 March, 2004.
Roszheldor is an agency of the RF Ministry of Transport; it provides public services, manages public property and is responsible for law enforcement in the railway transport sphere.

On the 29th of August 2011 the Plaza of the Riga station in Moscow has hosted the presentation of the fire train of a new generation.
