On the 29th of August 2011 the Plaza of the Riga station in Moscow has hosted the presentation of the fire train of a new generation. The starting ceremony of the innovative train was attended by Alexander Chupriyan, the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Management (MES of Russia), Vladimir Chepets, the deputy head of Roszheldor, Vladimir Yakunin, the president of the "RZHD" OJSC and by Vladimir Vetrov, the Director General of the Federal State Enterprise “Departmental Security Service of Railroad Transport of the Russian Federation”.

On the 30th of June 2011 was held the ceremonial opening of the international summer working semester for the students’ construction teams. The construction site, which by its scale and scope has become as the all-Russian one, was visited by the students from rail universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and students from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

On the 16th of June 2011 the Head of Roszheldor Gennady Petrakov has attended the meeting of the Transport Committee of the State Duma on the issue of «The development of container and piggyback transportations». Among the participants of the discussion were the members of the State Duma, the representatives of the Russian Mintrans, the RF Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Rostransnadzor, the «RZHD» OJSC and the heads of the transport companies and transport guilds.
